Our Story
Where It All Began
International Academy Manila was established with a vision of transforming education through innovation, flexibility, and personalized learning. Recognizing that every learner has unique strengths, interests, and aspirations, the Academy was founded to provide meaningful educational experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom.

Our Humble Beginnings
Where It All Began
In April 2011, Mr. Raphael Victor V. Santiago had the vision of conducting online-based live-lecture education in the Philippines. He and a few of his friends started conducting basic English lectures over the internet in his humble home in Cubao, Quezon City for local and international friends and acquaintances. The clientele steadily grew over the next months. By the following year, there was already a steady influx of students enrolling one after another. Students started asking for other lectures they wanted to take online.
Building the Foundation
By the end of 2012, the humble home where the company started could no longer accommodate the growing number of online teachers, and the internet capacity was no longer sufficient for their needs. At this point, Mr. Santiago decided to formalize the organization and bring his vision to the next level. In June 2013, International Academy Manila officially opened its main branch in a modest 70-square-meter residential space along G. Roxas Street, Manresa, Quezon City. The facility consisted of a reception area, a classroom that could comfortably accommodate fifteen learners, and a faculty room for six instructors.
Growing Beyond Expectations
Aside from the online-based live lectures where the Academy began, center-based English classes were also introduced in the main branch. The institution steadily expanded its educational offerings to include review programs for local licensure examinations for nurses and teachers, tutorials from preschool to college, and personality development courses. What began as a single educational program has now evolved into more than thirty (30) programs organized under ten (10) specialized institutes, serving students, professionals, and partner organizations both locally and internationally.
Redefining the Future of Education
At the height of the pandemic in 2021, International Academy Manila responded to the changing educational landscape by redesigning the future of learning through the introduction of its Homeschool Curriculum for Preschool to Senior High School. This became the flagship program of the Basic Education Department, providing families with flexible, learner-centered, and high-quality education. Looking ahead, International Academy Manila envisions becoming Asia's leading learning institution by the year 2030, producing world-class learners through outstanding educators, innovative programs, and effective teaching methodologies that empower every student to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.
