INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE (IDC)
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is a foundational program offered by International Academy Manila, an official accredited training center of the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) and American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). This program equips qualified candidates with the essential skills, knowledge, and resources to become certified HSI Instructors, authorized to teach ASHI/HSI emergency care training programs such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, First Aid, CPR/AED, and more.
The IDC prepares future instructors to deliver lifesaving education with confidence, professionalism, and adherence to national and international standards in emergency response training.
Course Objectives:
- Understand HSI/ASHI instructional methodologies and training systems
- Demonstrate effective teaching and facilitation techniques
- Properly administer, evaluate, and certify emergency care course participants
- Deliver scenario-based, skills-driven training in both classroom and blended formats
- Apply quality assurance principles in conducting emergency care programs

- Principles of Adult Learning and Instructional Strategies
- Course Delivery Formats: Classroom, Blended, and Remote Training
- Conducting Skills Practice and Performance Evaluations

- Use of HSI Digital Tools, Instructor Portal, and Certification Process
- Legal and Ethical Responsibilities of Instructors
- Preparation for Skills Demonstration and Practical Teaching
